XSplit Broadcaster - Suggest and vote for upcoming features!
Would love to see support on this. This is currently the only thing holding me back from making the full swap to xplit
VST and Luts are whats not added, Yet once they add this Xsplit will be beast.
Guys if you dont add VST support, you at least need to implement a basic compressor for mics. Please add this basic audio functionality quickly thanks. Sorry but Xsplit is not up to par in the audio aspect...
We're super well aware of the lack of audio options in XSplit Broadcaster and is something we're looking to improve on over the next couple of months
PLEASE add this, i want to be able to use audio effects via Reaper to Xsplit.OBS is MILES ahead and we are currently ALL paying a monthly subscription...
Bought xsplit switch back to obs for VST
I didn’t know OBS supported VSTs. Nice to see XSplit is considering. I’m already on board w lifetime license. Just waiting for a few key features like this one. 🔥🔥 Thanks for the awesome software, XSplit team!
Almost 2020 already, the use of Vst Plugins is so necessary today, such as the same 60 fps. How can one live without it? You have relatively recently updated the video codec, that's great. Why is sound not an equal priority for you? Many streamers will tell you that sound in so many situations is even more important than picture quality. Please give this issue a very important priority and add us vst support. I hope it will be VST support, and not just filters with a compressor or equalizer...
Hey AngeliquaLya, sound/audio most certainly is a priority for us and we've been taking smaller steps to get to the end goal such as suppression for audio, audio mixer with dB scale, more audio track options on video files. VST's is one of the next, more important audio features for us to add at the minimum. In the future, we hope to include a bunch of audio features natively and in our own UI such as compressor, equalizer, better noise gate options etc.
The only reason i dont use your client is the lack of vsts. get this going and up ill be a life time user.

When looking in to it we're not currently able to support VST's, not easily anyway due to licensing. So as a compromise we'll be adding various DSP effects which include compression & EQ
Being able to have multiple VST on my mic would be awesome, Also on my game audio.

Basics starters for audio DSP, if you are developing your own, would be:Multiband EQ, GateCompressor with visual feedback of gain reductionLimiter with same visual then Multiband Compressor with visual Ability to use up to 5+ of these in a chain to start would be necessary as wellAbility to effect separate input sources as well as the overall broadcast. Overall broadcast absolutely needs a limiter to start with though. Effects chain should look similar to radio broadcasters
We absolutely need VST support, especially for Reaper VST's and we also desperately need more audio inputs. OBS has 6.
@LorixAs a paid software, it's a little more difficult to implement VST's as it requires licensing and agreements etc. It's something we've looked in to but for the mean time we've decided not to peruse but instead try and implement the most commonly used audio effects to clean up audio.As for more devices, yep we hear you. Although it's possible to add more devices to scenes, we understand it's not very ideal. We're working on some additional audio functionality.
VST plugin support is much needed, considering the competition offers it. As paid software, it should not be unreasonable for Xsplit to consider purchasing a proprietary licence from Steinberg to implement VST support. Offering basic effects as part of the software is better than nothing, but I would much rather use the live DSP plugins I have spent good money on - and can already use with OBS.
I have a lifetime license and would gladly pay for a VST module. Creators are becoming more sophisticated, and the leading paid product doesn't have feature parity with a free alternative. XSplit's approach seems counterproductive from both a business and product standpoint.
Audio DSP support now in PTR and for release to public in the near future. For VST support, we're still looking in to it, we haven't received a response back from Steinberg yet but it's something we're still looking to work on.
